Visit of SMA IT Andalas Cendikia Students to Faculty of Civil Engineering

The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning (FTSP) of Universitas Bung Hatta welcomed students from SMA IT Andalas Cendikia Dharmasraya at Proklamator Campus I on 6 November 2025. The visit formed part of an outreach initiative to introduce secondary school students to higher education while supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

The visiting group was received by FTSP Vice Dean Dr. Putranesia, S.T., M.T., Head of Architecture Program Ir. Nasril S., M.T., Head of Construction Economics Engineering Program Dr. Wahyudi Putra Utama, BQS., M.T., Head of Administration Leni Oktavia, S.Kom., M.Si., along with several faculty members.

Students took part in a series of activities including an introduction to Universitas Bung Hatta, the faculty, and its academic programs such as Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, Construction Economics Engineering, and Building Maintenance and Management Engineering Technology. Laboratory tours and facility visits were also conducted.

Participants showed strong enthusiasm during the laboratory sessions and discussions with lab assistants and FTSP students. The interactive dialogue allowed them to obtain first-hand information about academic life, career prospects, and student activities.

Through this initiative, Universitas Bung Hatta reaffirmed its commitment to expanding educational access and inspiring young generations, while strengthening the role of higher education institutions in developing Indonesia’s human capital.
