Universitas Bung Hatta Students Achieve Highest GPA Index, Get Free Trips Abroad

The Bung Hatta Education Foundation, appreciates Universitas Bung Hatta students with the Highest GPA Index at the Faculty level by providing free student mobility trips abroad to UTM, a spin-off company of MJIIT UTM, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and to KLCC, Putrajaya, Malaysia, from November 3-6, 2024.

Prof. Dr. Nizwardi Jalinus, M.Ed., Chairman of the Bung Hatta Education Foundation Board, stated that Universitas Bung Hatta students with the highest GPA in their respective faculties are awarded with this study abroad program. This program will enhance their knowledge and experience, and, upon returning from this program, the students will be able to demonstrate that they made the right choice in studying at Universitas Bung Hatta. Furthermore, comparative studies provide valuable hands-on experience, unlocking networking opportunities among students.

Prof. Nizwardi added that this free study abroad program for students with the highest GPAs is being implemented for the first time and will continue every semester. The goal is to motivate all students to study diligently and to produce top-notch graduates.

"We hope these students will also serve as promotional ambassadors for Universitas Bung Hatta. This program aims to improve Universitas Bung Hatta reputation in the public," he said.

For the 2023/2024 academic year, 11 students will be sent on a comparative study to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UiTM), Putra Jaya, and Dewan Bandaraya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Dr. Zulherman, S.T.,M.Sc, Vice Rector III for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Alumni, stated that students will gain soft skills knowledge about entrepreneurship directly from Prof. Dr. Siti Hamidah, Founder of the NKAR product nkarofficial.com, UTM Malaysia.

"In addition to implementing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JKR Malaysia, the free travel experience will broaden students' horizons, especially in soft skills," Zulherman added.
