Universitas Bung Hatta Signs MoU with Mahkota Medical Centre Melaka

Universitas Bung Hatta continues to expand its international health collaboration network by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mahkota Medical Centre Melaka, Malaysia. The agreement was signed by the Vice Rector III for Student Affairs, Partnerships, and Alumni, Dr. Zulherman, S.T., M.Sc, at The ZHM Premier Hotel, Padang, on November 15, 2025.

The event was held alongside the Breast Cancer Health Talk, a collaborative program between Universitas Bung Hatta and Mahkota Medical Centre Melaka, attended by the Director of the Institute for Research and Community Service of Universitas Bung Hatta, Dr. Popi Fauziati, S.E., M.SI, Ak., CA, representatives from Mahkota Medical Centre, healthcare professionals, lecturers, students, and members of the public.

Through this MoU, both institutions committed to strengthening cooperation in healthcare services, education, and capacity building. The partnership is expected to deliver tangible benefits for the academic community and the wider public.

This initiative directly contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through cancer prevention education, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering cross-border collaboration in healthcare.

Beyond expanding international partnerships, the cooperation is also expected to enhance medical education at Universitas Bung Hatta and ensure the continuity of similar public outreach programs to raise awareness about the importance of early cancer detection and prevention.
