Universitas Bung Hatta Participates in SMAN 1 Batipuh Campus Expo, Promotes Informed Higher Education Choices

Students of Universitas Bung Hatta took part in the Campus Expo organized by OSIS and alumni of SMAN 1 Batipuh at the school’s Multipurpose Hall on January 20, 2026. The event aimed to provide graduating students with broader insights into selecting universities aligned with their interests and talents. This initiative supports SDG 4: Quality Education by expanding access to higher education information.

During the session, Indrawadi, S.Pi, Head of the Academic Information Office (AIO) of Universitas Bung Hatta, accompanied by Head of General Affairs Yuvial, S.E., delivered a presentation on strategies for choosing the right university. He emphasized four key considerations: aligning with personal interests and talents, avoiding peer pressure, considering family financial conditions, and thoroughly researching study programs and institutions.

The expo, officially opened by SMAN 1 Batipuh Principal Hendra Arinal, S.Pd., M.Si., marked the school’s first campus exhibition initiated by alumni in collaboration with the student council. A total of 28 universities and educational institutions, both public and private, participated and set up interactive booths for direct engagement with students.

Universitas Bung Hatta was also represented by Muzaki Khanza from the Physical Education, Health and Recreation Study Program and Zakkiyah Kurratul A’nyun from the Management Study Program. Through direct dialogue and information sharing, the university encouraged students to make well-informed academic decisions based on their potential and career aspirations.

The participation of Universitas Bung Hatta in this event also reflects SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, highlighting collaboration between schools, alumni, and higher education institutions to strengthen educational pathways for future generation.
