Universitas Bung Hatta Channels Flood Relief Aid Through Joint Post with Yayasan Dar el-Iman

Universitas Bung Hatta once again distributed flood relief assistance to communities affected by flash floods in several areas of West Sumatra. The aid was delivered through a joint disaster relief post with Yayasan Dar el-Iman at the Dar el-Iman complex, Jl. Gajah Mada, Padang, on December 22, 2025.

The assistance, consisting of LPG gas cylinders, staple food supplies, and bottled water, was handed over directly by Vice Rector III of Universitas Bung Hatta, Dr. Zulherman, S.T., M.Sc., accompanied by the university’s student affairs team. The donations were received by the management of the relief post for further distribution to affected residents.

The support will be utilized for emergency response activities, including public kitchens, clean water distribution, and land clearing efforts to help restore damaged homes. This initiative reflects the university’s continued commitment to humanitarian action and community resilience.

The program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) in strengthening disaster resilience, SDG 13 (Climate Action) in responding to climate-related impacts, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration with community organizations.

Through this initiative, Universitas Bung Hatta reaffirms its role as a socially responsible institution, contributing tangible support to disaster-affected communities while fostering solidarity and collective action
