Universitas Bung Hatta and UTM CRC Team Shine at Seoul International Invention Fair 2025
The Universitas Bung Hatta team, collaborating with the UTM Construction Research Centre (UTM CRC), achieved remarkable success at the Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF) 2025, winning two Special Awards, one Silver Medal, and one Bronze Medal.
The team also received recognition for Invention and Innovation from the National Research Council of Thailand and the Taiwan Innovation Association on December 6–9, 2025. This achievement supports SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
The Universitas Bung Hatta members included Dr. Eng. Yulcherlina, ST., MT, Dr. Eng. Khadavi, S.T., M.T., and Dr. Popi Fauziati, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA. Their research contributions focused on sustainable and innovative construction solutions with high societal and industrial impact.
Under the leadership of Ir. Ts. Dr. Nor Hasanah Abdul Shukor Lim, the team earned a Special Award from the National Research Council of Thailand, a Special Award from the Taiwan Innovation Association, and a Bronze Medal for G-EASYMent: Geopolymer Easy Mix Cement, a sustainable building material designed for ease of use.
Another research group led by Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Shek Poi Ngian received the Silver Medal for SmartWall-Mod: Prefabricated Modular Wall System for Sustainable Construction, emphasizing efficiency, adaptability, and environmentally friendly building practices.
These awards highlight Universitas Bung Hatta’s commitment to advancing research, innovation, and global collaboration. The achievements also demonstrate how academic-industry partnerships can contribute to sustainable development and innovative solutions in construction and engineering.
