Universitas Bung Hatta and Kanwil DJPb West Sumatra Hold Treasury Goes to Campus
Universitas Bung Hatta, in collaboration with the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (Kanwil DJPb) of West Sumatra Province, organized Treasury Goes to Campus under the theme “The Role of Fiscal Policy in Supporting MSMEs” on December 18, 2025, at Bung Hatta Convention Hall, Campus 1 Ulak Karang, Padang.
The program contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by strengthening fiscal literacy and supporting sustainable economic development through MSMEs.
The event was officially opened by Vice Rector I of Universitas Bung Hatta, Prof. Dr. Pasymi, S.T., M.T., who expressed appreciation for the collaboration. He emphasized that the partnership enhances students’ understanding of public finance and connects academic theory with real-world fiscal policy and state budget management.
Head of Kanwil DJPb West Sumatra, M. Dodi Fachrudin, delivered insights on current economic developments, macro-fiscal policy, and the 2026 fiscal direction. Other speakers discussed state financial management, the dissemination of the Q3 2025 Fiscal Report, and MSME financing access, broadening students’ perspectives beyond textbook knowledge.
The program attracted hundreds of students from various faculties, along with lecturers and academic staff, who actively engaged in critical discussions. University leaders, including Vice Rector II, deans, and faculty representatives, were also in attendance, reflecting strong institutional support.
Through Treasury Goes to Campus, Universitas Bung Hatta reaffirmed its commitment to collaborative education and public engagement. The initiative not only promotes fiscal awareness but also supports inclusive economic growth and partnerships aligned with SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
