The Faculty of Industrial Technology of Bung Hatta University was visited by Daikin Goes to Campus

The Faculty of Industrial Technology at Bung Hatta University was one of the higher education institutions participating in the Daikin Goes to Campus program, which featured a guest lecture session.

The guest lecture, delivered by professionals from the Daikin Goes to Campus program, was attended by 100 students from the Faculty of Industrial Technology as well as several students from the Electrical Engineering Department of Semarang State University, along with lecturers from FTI. The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Prof. Dr. Eng. Reni Desmiarti, S.T., M.T., in the laboratory hall of Bung Hatta University’s Campus III on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

In her opening remarks, the Dean of FTI stated that to improve the quality and competency of its graduates, the Faculty of Industrial Technology at Bung Hatta University continues to invite professional lecturers from various fields. She expressed her appreciation to PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (DAIKIN) for selecting the Faculty of Industrial Technology as one of the venues for the Daikin Goes to Campus program.

The Dean further added that FTI Bung Hatta University has a large-capacity hall that can be utilized by PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia to hold training sessions for vocational high school students or the general public.

Meanwhile, Stella, Head of People Management and Development at PT Daikin, stated in her speech that the Daikin Goes to Campus program is DAIKIN’s annual initiative designed to strengthen the company’s contribution to the education sector, with a focus on inspiring students about the air conditioning solution industry.

She expressed her hope that students would be better prepared to enter the workforce, that meaningful collaboration between industry and education would be fostered, and that innovation would continue to develop as the key to the sustainability of the industry in the future.

The guest lecture materials from the Daikin Goes to Campus program were presented by Triyantomi, Head of Daikin Pekanbaru Branch, and Iskandar Zulkarnaen, Senior Engineering Daikin, covering topics ranging from the fundamentals of air conditioning to Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and their applications for residential needs.

During the session, Daikin experts also conducted interactive discussions, shared soft-skill material on time management, and provided insights into career opportunities at DAIKIN — a well-known Japanese-based specialist in air conditioning solutions and a market leader in Indonesia’s air solution industry
