The Development Economics Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) held an industrial visit to Padang Pariaman

The Development Economics Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Bung Hatta University, conducted an Industrial Visit to two businesses in Padang Pariaman: the Rafifa Kipang Business and a shrimp farm, on Thursday, June 6, 2024. The event proceeded smoothly and was attended by students as part of their out-of-class learning.

During the first visit to the Rafifa Kipang Business, students had the opportunity to engage in direct dialogue with the business owner. During the session, the owner of Rafifa Kipang shared his experiences, motivation, and strategies for building a business that has survived for over 40 years. Students also had the opportunity to observe the kipang production process and receive explanations about the production stages and business management.

Next, the group visited a shrimp farm in Padang Pariaman. The owner explained business opportunities in the fisheries sector, particularly shrimp farming, which is considered very promising. The quality of the shrimp produced is highly competitive, making it suitable for marketing outside the region and even to export markets.

Through this activity, students are expected to gain practical insights into the business world, including production management, business sustainability strategies, and business opportunities in the fisheries sector. This industrial visit activity also carries the theme "Learning Without Limits, Achieving Dreams from Industrial Inspiration" to encourage students to continue working and building future aspirations.
