The Development Economics Student Debate Team Won Second Place in the Accounting Week 8 Economics Debate Competition.

Bung Hatta University students have once again achieved a proud achievement. At the National Accounting Week 8 Economic Debate Competition, organized by the Undergraduate Accounting Student Association (HIMA-AKSI) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Dharma Andalas University, on June 17–18, 2025, the Development Economics Study Program Debate Team won second place after a series of rigorous and challenging rounds.

This competition brought together student teams from universities across Indonesia to compete, hone their argumentative skills, and provide solutions to national economic issues. The success of the Bung Hatta University Development Economics Debate Team demonstrated their critical and analytical thinking, as well as team cohesion, in presenting arguments in a structured and convincing manner.

The Rector of Bung Hatta University, Prof. Dr. Diana Kartika, expressed her appreciation and pride for this achievement. She emphasized that this achievement serves as motivation for other students to continue to dare to try, step out of their comfort zones, and develop their potential to the fullest.

"This achievement inspires other students to try, to dare to step out of their comfort zones, and to continuously improve their abilities. In this event, the Bung Hatta University Debate Team achieved two victories, taking first and second place, further solidifying Bung Hatta University students' position as a competitive, broad-minded academic generation ready to contribute to various scientific and professional forums.
