Tessalonika Manurung, a Law Student, won a gold medal at the 4th Nusantara Writing Festival.
Universitas Bung Hatta once again celebrates a proud academic achievement as Tessalonika Manurung, a student from the Faculty of Law, secured a Gold Medal at the Nusantara Writing Festival 4, hosted by Universitas Dhyana Pura in Bali.
This accomplishment reflects the university’s commitment to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education.
In the national-level competition, Tessalonika impressed the judges with her scholarly paper entitled “The Legal Implications of Constitutional Court Decision No. 135/PUU-XXII/2024 on the 2029 General Election.” Her work outperformed more than 260 finalist papers submitted by students from universities across Indonesia.
Tessalonika shared that during her presentation before the jury panel, she received strong praise for both the substance of her analysis and her public-speaking skills.
"The judges appreciated how the paper addressed Indonesia’s current constitutional situation and how the arguments were delivered,” she said.
The achievement highlights Universitas Bung Hatta’s continuous efforts to nurture academic excellence, legal literacy, and research-based learning, contributing to the broader goal of improving the quality of higher education nationwide.
