Quantitiy Surveying Students Join IWICME 2025 in Malaysia
Students from the Quantitiy Surveying Program of Universitas Bung Hatta once again demonstrated their international engagement by participating in the 5th International Workshop on Innovation in Construction Management and Economics (IWICME) 2025, held at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) from 24–29 November 2025.
The program contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
A strong spirit of international collaboration was evident as nine UBH students arrived at UTM’s campus to join the academic forum, which brought together participants from leading universities across the region.
IWICME 2025 was hosted by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), with participation from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Seri Iskandar, UiTM Shah Alam, Institut Teknologi Bandung, and Universitas Bung Hatta as representatives from Indonesia.
The Universitas Bung Hatta delegation consisted of Fauzan Fadhlurrahman, Nabila Permata Sari, Fegi Putri Ananda, Ade Taufit Wajidi, Azyra Zahra, Hafiz Mudia Rahman, Muhammad Arya Pratama, Hasya Sabila Zahra, and M. Zaki Al Hakim. The students took part in various academic and competitive activities throughout the workshop.
The delegation was led by Vice Rector III of Universitas Bung Hatta, Dr. Zulherman, S.T., M.Sc, accompanied by two faculty members from the Construction Economics Engineering Program, Fielda Roza, S.T., M.T. and Sesmiwati, BQS, M.T., who also served as judges in the debate competition—one of the workshop’s key events.
This international participation reflects Universitas Bung Hatta’s commitment to strengthening global learning experiences, fostering innovation in construction management and economics, and expanding international academic partnerships.
