Industrial Visit by Management Study Program Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Bung Hatta University to DPMPTSP Agam
Accompanied by the Head of the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business Bung Hatta University, Lindawati, S.E.,M.Si a group of Management Study Program students carried out an industrial visit to the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP) of Agam Regency and the Dendeng Rinuak Bagonjong UMKM in Lubuk Basung.
The industrial visit aimed to broaden students' practical understanding of investment management and licensing services at the regional government level. The group, consisting of students and 12 lecturers, was welcomed by the Head of DPMPTSP Agam Regency, Dr. Mhd. Lutfi AR., S.H.,M.Si on Tuesday, 9 July 2024.
According to Lindawati, in addition to visiting government agencies, the group also visited the Dendeng Rinuak Bagonjong small, and medium enterprise (UMKM) in Lubuk Basung. She explained that this activity is important for enhancing students' understanding of the application of management knowledge in both government and business sectors.
"This activity provides valuable experience for students because they can see firsthand how the theories learned in college are applied in real-world practice," said Lindawati.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Agam Regency DPMPTSP Office, Dr. Mhd. Lutfi AR., S.H.,M.Si stated that the visit was an important way to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical fieldwork "We hope this visit will provide students with a real-world understanding of the processes and challenges in public service, particularly in the areas of licensing and investment," he said.
The series of activities continued with a visit to Dendeng Rinuak Bagonjong UMKM, a small enterprise that has successfully expanded its products to various regions and even internationally.
On that occasion, the business owner Ms. Fitria Amrina, shared an inspiring story about her entrepreneurial journey "I started this business with little capital and great enthusiasm. There are always challenges, but with hard work and innovation, this business has grown to what it is today" she said.
Through this industrial visit, it is expected that collaboration between Bung Hatta University and various agencies and UMKM actors in Agam Regency will continue to develop. This synergy is anticipated to benefit both parties, particularly in producing competent, entrepreneurial, and competitive graduates.
