FTI Universitas Bung Hatta Strengthens Academic Collaboration with FT UMRI-Riau

The Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI) of Universitas Bung Hatta formalized a strategic partnership with the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau (UMRI), through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement on February 6, 2026. The ceremony took place at the FTI meeting hall, Universitas Bung Hatta, as part of efforts to enhance inter-university collaboration.

The agreement was signed by the Dean of FTI Universitas Bung Hatta, Prof. Dr. Ir. Reni Desmiarti, ST., MT., and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering UMRI, Dr. Ir. Indra Hasan, MT., IPU., ASEAN Eng. The partnership covers academic collaboration, research development, and community engagement initiatives.

This collaboration aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through academic strengthening, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) through research and innovation cooperation, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering institutional partnerships.

Through this agreement, both institutions aim to promote joint research, student and faculty exchange, and knowledge-sharing programs. The initiative is expected to enhance academic quality and expand innovation networks between the two universities.

FTI Universitas Bung Hatta reaffirmed its commitment to building sustainable academic partnerships that contribute to national education development and technological advancement.
