Faculty of Economics and Business, Bung Hatta University Holds an International Public Lecture with Lecturers from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia

Padang, September 24, 2025 — The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Bung Hatta University once again held an international public lecture in the Postgraduate Meeting Room, Campus I. The event featured speakers from the Faculty of Management, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM):

1. Dr. Teh Zaharah Yaacob

2. Dr. Hanini Ilyana Che Hashim

3. Dr. Mohd Zulfabli Hasan

4. Dr. Mohd Khairul Afzan Mohd Lazi

The four speakers delivered parallel lectures on the theme of "Research Methodology in Business, Accounting, and Economics." The material emphasized the development of global research trends, methodological challenges in contemporary research, and the increasingly open opportunities for cross-border academic collaboration in the digital era.

The event was attended by lecturers and students from four study programs at FEB Bung Hatta University: Accounting, Management, Development Economics, and the Master of Management (S2) Program. The enthusiasm of the participants was evident in the high level of interaction during the active and constructive Q&A session and discussion.

Furthermore, the public lecture concluded with the signing of an Implementation Agreement (IA) between each study program at Bung Hatta University's Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and the Faculty of Management, UTM. The scope of this collaboration includes:

• Lecturer and student exchanges

• Collaborative research and joint publications

• Joint academic and scientific activities

• International-based curriculum development

The signing of this IA is a concrete step toward strengthening international academic cooperation and supporting the improvement in the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education within the FEB at Bung Hatta University.

Through this activity, it is hoped that the collaborative relationship between Bung Hatta University and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia will become stronger and more sustainable, providing broad benefits to the academic community in developing competencies, global networks, and achieving superior academic output.
