Accounting Students Conduct Capacity Building Organization to Strengthen Leadership and Organizational Skills
The Accounting Student Association (HMPS Akuntansi) of Universitas Bung Hatta successfully held the Capacity Building Organization (CBO) program from January 16–18, 2026. The annual program aims to prepare the next generation of student leaders and strengthen the organizational capacity of HMPS Akuntansi.
According to Vice Dean of FEB, Surya Dharma, S.E., M.Si, CBO serves as a platform to develop members who excel academically and in organizational management. The program focuses on practical skills, leadership, and teamwork, ensuring the new management team is better prepared than previous years.
CBO materials included secretarial management, meeting procedures, lobbying, conflict management, and leadership hierarchy. Participants engaged enthusiastically, applying insights from speakers to improve their skills in managing student activities.
Neva Novianti, S.E., M.Acc, Head of the Accounting Study Program, noted that the program helps enhance knowledge, skills, and attitudes of student organization members, supporting Universitas Bung Hatta’s mission to produce students who are academically competent and socially responsible.
The program also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth) by fostering leadership, organizational skills, and responsible citizenship among students. Participants are encouraged to implement their plans and design impactful programs as part of the Campus Berdampak initiative.
