UTMSPACE Implements the International MoU between Bung Hatta University and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia

After the International Academic Collaboration between the Urban and Regional Planning Study Program, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, Universitas Bung Hatta, and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, through a series of Guest Lectures, Cultural Exchange, and International Community Service activities, Universitas Bung Hatta continues its international engagement with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) through UTMSPACE.

This was conveyed by the Rector of Universitas Bung Hatta, Prof. Dr. Diana Kartika, during the official visit of the delegation from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia to the Rectorate meeting room at Universitas Bung Hatta’s Campus I, Ulak Karang, on June 11, 2025.

The UTMSPACE delegation, consisting of Prof. Dr. Nazri bin Ali, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of UTMSPACE; Zareena binti Omar, Director of Business Development UTMSPACE; and Encik Zulkifli bin Osman, General Manager of International and Corporate Affairs UTMSPACE, was warmly welcomed by Dr. Zulherman, S.T.,M.Scc, Vice-Rector III for Student Affairs, Collaboration, and Alumni, along with the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, the Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, and other university leaders.

In her remarks, the Rector stated that UTM’s visit to Universitas Bung Hatta reflects the strong and long-standing collaboration between the two institutions.

She emphasized that numerous joint initiatives have been carried out by both parties, and this visit—strengthened through UTMSPACE—marks another strategic opportunity for both institutions to directly discuss potential academic collaborations. These include Part-Time Academic Programs, Franchise Programs, Engineering Management Programs, as well as various professional training and capacity-building activities.

The Rector further expressed her hope that the international collaboration between UTMSPACE and Universitas Bung Hatta will not only broaden and strengthen academic networks but also respond to the evolving needs of higher education—making it more adaptive, flexible, impactful, and competency-based, while demonstrating professional excellence.
