Universitas Bung Hatta Strengthens Academic Collaboration with UNP through MoU
Universitas Bung Hatta has reinforced its long-standing partnership with Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) through the signing of a renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Senate Meeting Room, Rectorate and Research Center UNP.
The MoU was signed by Rektor Universitas Bung Hatta, Prof. Diana Kartika, and Rektor UNP, Dr. Ir. Krismadinata, S.T., M.T., aiming to enhance cooperation in education, research, and community service. This collaboration aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
During the ceremony, Prof. Diana Kartika emphasized that the renewed MoU strengthens existing collaboration and reflects a strategic effort to improve human resource quality through academic and research initiatives. She highlighted that cross-university partnerships create opportunities for innovation and knowledge sharing among faculty and students.
Rektor UNP, Dr. Ir. Krismadinata, expressed that UNP welcomes the utilization of research facilities, expertise, and campus resources to support joint academic programs. He added that the MoU serves as a formal framework for sustained collaboration in developing high-quality, competitive graduates.
The signing event also included MoU agreements between UNP and other institutions, including Universitas Taman Siswa, UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar, PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia, and Dharmasraya local government. Universitas Bung Hatta’s participation underlines its commitment to regional academic synergy and the strengthening of science and technology-based initiatives.
Through this renewed partnership, Universitas Bung Hatta and UNP aim to produce graduates who are academically competent, socially responsible, and capable of contributing to national development. The collaboration also provides a platform for joint research, community service, and sustainable development projects consistent with the SDGs framework.
