Universitas Bung Hatta Receives Appreciation from Bank Indonesia West Sumatra as Educational Partner 2025

Universitas Bung Hatta has once again received an award from Bank Indonesia (BI) West Sumatra Representative Office as an Educational Institution Partner of the Year 2025 for its sustained contributions and strategic collaboration throughout the year.

The recognition reflects the shared commitment to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

The award was presented directly by the Head of BI West Sumatra, Mohamad Abdul Majid Ikram, to Universitas Bung Hatta’s Head of Student Affairs, Dr. Ir. Henry Nasution, S.T., M.T., IPP, during an official ceremony held at Aula Anggun Nan Tongga, BI West Sumatra Office, on 29 November 2025.

According to Dr. Henry Nasution, Universitas Bung Hatta has become one of Bank Indonesia’s strategic partners, consistently contributing through research activities, surveys, teaching programs, and the Bank Indonesia Scholarship Scheme for students.

"This collaboration has generated a positive impact on strengthening human resource quality and developing research-based knowledge in West Sumatra," he stated.

Meanwhile, Universitas Bung Hatta Rector Prof. Dr. Diana Kartika expressed her appreciation for the award and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Bank Indonesia.

"This recognition acknowledges Universitas Bung Hatta’s active role in building productive partnerships with industry and government institutions, further reinforcing our position as an impactful university," she said.

She added that sustained collaboration is expected to broaden academic and research benefits while enhancing students’ capacity to face evolving economic and industrial challenges.
