Universitas Bung Hatta Lecturer Encourages Health Workers in Solok to Build Healing Communication in the Digital Era
Zulfadli, S.Kom., M.Sc., a lecturer from the Computer Network Engineering Technology (TRKJ) Study Program at Universitas Bung Hatta, served as a keynote speaker at the Coordination Meeting of the Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) Division organized by the Solok Regency Health Office at Daima Hotel Solok on 29 October 2025.
Carrying the theme “Productivity and Healing Communication for Health Workers in the Digitalization Era,” the event was attended by 88 healthcare professionals from all public health centers across Solok Regency, ranging from heads of clinics to operational staff.
The program contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education) through professional capacity building, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening cooperation between academia and local government.
In his presentation, Zulfadli, widely known as a Digital Humanist Enthusiast, invited participants to reflect on the importance of empathetic communication amid increasing workloads and administrative pressures in the digital age.
"In a digital era, human presence in communication becomes even more essential to preserve sincere and healing services. Technology should not make us lose our sense of compassion. By understanding digital transformation wisely, we can actually create healthcare services that are more humane and meaningful,” he said.
Through the involvement of Universitas Bung Hatta’s TRKJ lecturer in this initiative, closer collaboration is expected to grow between higher education institutions and local government agencies in promoting a human-centered digital transformation within the healthcare sector.
