The Renewable Energy Engineering Technology Study Program at FTI Expands its International Collaboration Network

After establishing international collaboration with Norway in the field of hydropower for renewable electricity generation, the Vocational Program of D4 Renewable Energy Engineering Technology (TRET), Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Bung Hatta, continues to expand and strengthen its international network. One of its latest initiatives was a working visit to the Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanical and Energy Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) on December 11, 2024.

The delegation from Universitas Bung Hatta was led by Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Reni Desmiarti, S.T., M.T., Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, accompanied by Dr. Ir. Henry Nasution, M.T., lecturer of Renewable Energy Engineering Technology. The delegation also included Dr. Firdaus, S.T., M.T., Amelia Amir, S,Si., M.Si., Ph.D, Dr. cand. Ellyta Sari, S.T., M.T., and Nofri Naldi, S.T.,M.Si, all lecturers of the TRET Program. Two administrative staff members, Rio Wijaya Kusuma, S.Kom., and Masrizal, also took part in the visit.

Prof. Reni stated that under the guidance of Dr. Henry Nasution, the delegation visited several laboratory facilities at the Faculty of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, UTM, with the expectation that this visit would pave the way for future development of the D4 Renewable Energy Engineering Technology Program, particularly toward electric vehicle and motor technology.
