The Development Economics Student Association (HMJ) Holds a National Seminar Discussing Economic Resilience in the Digital Era
The Student Association of the Development Economics Department (HMJ) of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Bung Hatta University held a National Seminar on "Economic Resilience in the Digital Era" on Thursday, July 4, 2024. This event was part of an effort to increase students' understanding of strategic issues in economic development and foster critical thinking skills in navigating the dynamics of the modern economy.
The seminar featured speakers Yuli Ardianti, S.E.,M.Si, and Vero Escobar, who presented on the opportunities and challenges of economic resilience amidst the development of digital technology. The speakers also motivated students to continue developing their skills, creativity, and competencies to compete in the increasingly competitive digital era.
The Head of the Development Economics Study Program, Nurul Huda, S.E.,M.Si, stated that this national seminar, part of the Economic Development Forum (EDF) program, plays a crucial role in improving students' academic quality. Furthermore, this activity supports the strengthening of the study program's future accreditation.
"National seminars like this need to be held continuously as a regular program of the HMJ, as they directly contribute to developing academic insight and preparing students for the world of work," said Nurul Huda.
Through this activity, the HMJ Development Economics hopes that students will be better prepared for the digital economic transformation and be able to play an active role in supporting the development of a competitive national economy.
