Simarasok Tourism Transforms: Collaboration between the Management Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business Bung Hatta University (UBH) and the Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) of West Sumatra

The Community Service Program (PKM) themed "Digital Branding and Recycling: Transforming Marasok Tourism Towards Sustainability" was successfully implemented in Simarasok Village, Agam Regency. This activity is the result of a collaboration between the Management Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Bung Hatta University, led by Linda Wati, S.E.,M.Sc and the Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) West Sumatra Campus.

This PKM activity aimed to promote Nagari Simarasok's tourism potential by implementing digital branding strategies and using recycling to foster sustainability as a tourist destination. The community was trained to understand digital marketing strategies and to process waste into creative products with economic value.

Linda Wati, S.E.,M.Si Head of the Management Study Program explained that this collaboration is expected to strengthen Nagari Simarasok's tourism image and increase community awareness of environmental sustainability. Through this program, Simarasok tourism is anticipated to develop into a competitive destination that incorporates local wisdom and is oriented toward environmentally friendly principles.

The activity received positive responses from the local government and the community who are optimistic that this initiative can serve as a concrete step toward advancing sustainable tourism in Nagari Simarasok.
