Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program of FKIP Bung Hatta University Conducts Community Service at SMA N 1 Mukomuko, Bengkulu Province

The Community Service Team from the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Bung Hatta University, carried out a socialization and guidance program on university entrance awareness and preparation for the Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK) for Grade XII students of SMA Negeri 1 Mukomuko, Bengkulu Province. The activity took place on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the school’s main hall as part of the university’s commitment to strengthening students’ academic readiness for higher education entrance exams.

The event was actively attended by all Grade XII students preparing to take the UTBK for the 2026 academic year. The session was facilitated by Rio Rinaldi, Head of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program, who delivered engaging and practical material on UTBK strategies, techniques for answering questions quickly and accurately, and analyzing question blueprints, particularly in the Indonesian language section. His presentation encouraged active participation and enthusiasm from students.

In his official statement, Rio Rinaldi highlighted that the collaboration between FKIP Bung Hatta University and SMA N 1 Mukomuko has been ongoing since the previous year.

“This partnership has been established since last year. SMA N 1 Mukomuko in Bengkulu Province is one of our official partner schools through a formal cooperation agreement,” he said.

This collaboration demonstrates the institution’s continuous commitment to providing academic mentoring and guidance for partner schools, particularly in helping students prepare for increasingly competitive university entrance selections.

Beyond serving as a knowledge-sharing platform, this community service activity also functions as a bridge that strengthens relations between higher education institutions and senior high schools, while expanding FKIP Bung Hatta University’s educational network in the Bengkulu region. Through a student-centered and needs-based approach, the program stands as a concrete manifestation of the university’s dedication to community engagement and its academic credibility in advancing education across regions.
