Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Universitas Bung Hatta Establishes Collaboration with the Faculty of Education and Psychology, Universitas Negeri Semarang
The leadership of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Universitas Bung Hatta conducted an official visit to the Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) on July 22, 2024. This visit was undertaken to initiate and explore the potential for comprehensive collaboration within the scope of the Tridharma of Higher Education, encompassing education, research, and community service.
The primary objective of this visit was to strengthen academic collaboration between the two institutions of higher learning, with a particular focus on fostering scientific innovation and contributing tangibly to improving the quality of life in society through the implementation of various joint programs.
The delegation from FKIP Universitas Bung Hatta, led by Vice Dean Dra. Zulfa Amrina, M.Pd., was warmly received at the FIPP UNNES campus by Dean Prof. Dr. Edy Purwanto, M.Si. The meeting took place in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing higher education in Indonesia.
During an intensive discussion session, both parties engaged in an in-depth dialogue on the importance of establishing a strong and sustainable partnership. The discussion particularly focused on creating broad opportunities for students and lecturers from both faculties to collaborate across a range of academic and non-academic activities.
The discussion produced a comprehensive understanding of the potential areas of collaboration to be developed, including:
Joint research initiatives between lecturers and researchers from both institutions
Independent Student Exchange Program (PMM Mandiri) to enhance students’ academic experiences
Joint curriculum development aligned with contemporary educational needs
Community service programs with broad social impact
At the conclusion of the meeting, as a manifestation of mutual commitment and seriousness, both parties agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The signing ceremony was conducted between Vice Dean of FKIP Universitas Bung Hatta, Dra. Zulfa Amrina, M.Pd., representing the Dean, and Dean of FIPP UNNES, Prof. Dr. Edy Purwanto, M.Si.
This MoU serves as the legal foundation for implementing various collaborative programs that have been mutually agreed upon and is expected to be followed by concrete initiatives benefiting the academic communities of both institutions as well as the broader public.
