Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Universitas Bung Hatta Holds Workshop on Curriculum Development and Revision Based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE)

The Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas Bung Hatta, Dr. Yetty Morelent, M.Hum., officially opened the Workshop on Curriculum Development and Revision Based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) at the FKIP Meeting Room, Proklamator II Campus, Bypass Aia Pacah, Padang, on September 2, 2025.

In her address, Dr. Yetty Morelent emphasized that this workshop serves as a strategic initiative to enhance the quality of education within FKIP, aligning with Universitas Bung Hatta’s recent achievement of an “Excellent” accreditation status. She underscored the importance of developing a curriculum that is responsive to both graduate competencies and industry needs.

The event was attended by representatives from ten study programs under FKIP, including:
Indonesian Language and Literature Education, English Language Education, Mathematics Education, Civic and Pancasila Education, Informatics and Computer Education, Biology Education, Elementary School Teacher Education, Physical, Health, and Recreation Education, Master’s Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, and the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) Program.

The workshop featured Prof. Feri Afrinaldi, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D. from Universitas Andalas, and Ayu Bidiawati, S.T., M.T. from the Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI) of Universitas Bung Hatta, as keynote speakers. Both experts guided participants through in-depth discussions on OBE-based curriculum design, learning evaluation approaches, and mechanisms for monitoring learning outcomes.

This workshop marked a significant milestone for FKIP in restructuring its curriculum to become more adaptive, outcome-oriented, and aligned with both national and international accreditation standards.
